Nicholas R. Gregg

Hailing from Northern Kentucky, Nick grew up familiar with lawyers, getting to learn firsthand from his grandfather who is a federal judge in Covington, KY. He credits the empathy he brings to his practice largely to his grandfather and his colleague Kevin Murphy.

“They taught me very early that while there's technical law stuff, there's also the human side of it, and good lawyers are able to take the human side of it into account on behalf of their clients,” Nick said.

For Nick, his grandfather was more than just a role model—he was the inspiration to become a lawyer. In fact, even from a very young age Nick’s parents could spot similarities in their son and his grandfather, always joking that it was inevitable for young Nick to grow into a lawyer.

In 2020, Nick began working on a heartbreaking case involving a family’s loss of their teenage son. This case has become one of the hallmarks of Nick’s career. While this lawsuit showcased a rewarding fight for the family, it also put Nick’s compassion, empathy, and kindness on full display, a skillset he brings with him into every case.

“I try to approach every case like that, to understand why people want to pursue things legally, and what their motivations are. That helps me understand how I can be most effective as a lawyer for each of my clients.”

As a child, Nick was addicted to learning. He could often be found keeping to himself reading, playing instruments, and looking for something new to become an expert on.

“The drive to always be learning new things is still something that I have,” he said.

Nick is a creative and artistic person, which as a lawyer allows him to think outside of the box. “That kind of sets me apart, that creative understanding,” Nick said. “I understand what the norms are and what the traditional way of doing something is, but I recognize where I can go outside of that to get a better result.”

Nick treats his clients the same way he treats a close friend looking for help. After combing through the human element of the case, Nick becomes engrossed in creatively and critically looking for a solution. Nick believes on a fundamental level that everyone has a right to be vindicated and deserves an opportunity for help, and he aims to provide that to his clients.

“In my practice, I'm really invested in what clients want to do and why they want to do it,” he said. “I just love doing what I do and helping clients.”
